Kolaches

A kolache is a soft, slightly sweet roll baked around a savoury filling. It came to America with Czech families who settled in Texas, and it is the best one-handed breakfast ever invented.

We bake ours fresh every morning, the traditional way, in the same kitchen as the donuts. Almost no one else in Utah makes them. That is not a marketing line — it is simply an unusual thing to find here, and it is the reason a lot of our regulars first walked in.

What we make

Small — $2.50 each, $26.50 the dozen. Ham & cheese · ham, cheese & jalapeño · sausage & cheese · sausage, cheese & jalapeño.

Large — $4.75 each, $49.50 the dozen. Bacon, egg, cheese & potato · sausage, egg, cheese & potato · sausage, egg & gravy · ham ranchero.
